Hello, I'm Lingo Bingo Dingo, or "LBD" or any one of the three components for short.

My interests are in West-Germanic and Semitic languages and in some of the older conlangs. My main activity is adding new lemmas with basic content. Occasionally I'll add citations, etymologies or limited, phonemic descriptions of pronunciation (usually only "standard"), in that order. Things I like to add are compound words, words with multiple etymologies, calques, and citing obscure, obsolete or neologistic senses.

My native language is Dutch and I speak a Hollandic dialect.

Dutch terms that derive from German are often included with exclusively Dutch etymologies, which are in fact their surface analyses. This is in particular the case for compounds and requires some special attention.

If you want to check whether Volapük forms are attested, I recommend Wikisource.
